Keowee Home Caretakers offers reliable house-sitting and pet-sitting solutions tailored to your schedule. We serve the Lake Keowee area, providing peace of mind while you're away. Our customized services ensure your property and pets are well cared for, whether you need weekly visits or occasional assistance.

We are your local Lake Keowee area house caretaker service. Your eyes and ears when you are away.


Pet-sitting is also available.


Services and schedules are completely customized based on your needs (weekly, biweekly, or as needed).

Our Services

Mail / Package pickup

Trash can retrieval


Full exterior walk-around / inspection:

Look for pests, damage to house, water damage/drainage issues

Check propane levels if necessary

Check generator status


Full interior walk-around / inspection:

Test and set Climate Control

Discard any spoiled food / garbage

Test appliances, security, and lights

Leave specified lights on for security

Briefly run shower heads, faucets, flush toilets

Ensure windows and doors are locked


Run vehicles and charge golf carts

Water plants/flowers inside and outside

Supplemental (complimentary) checks after severe storms

Help arrange contractors for repairs / maintenance

Meet contractors and stay while work is completed


A full written report/checklist (and pictures if necessary) will be provided after each visit.

Rates

Home Care:

Pricing is a flat rate of $45 per visit 

$30 per hour for additional services (meeting and waiting with contractors for example).


Pet Care:

$30 per visit

$100 per day for overnight / multiple visits over 24 hours


Monthly billing is preferred

About Me

I am recently retired from working in corporate finance for over 25 years. I am a full-time resident of The Reserve at Lake Keowee. I have built our two most recent houses (served as the general contractor on the first one). While I don’t have a background in home repair/inspections, I am handy and learned much over the years regarding home maintenance, care, and repairs. Since I am local and retired, I am available most of the time and have a very flexible schedule.
